If there are any of you out there, hopefully you can answer my question.

If you are staying at Ft. Wilderness long-term, 2 months or more, in a preferred site with cable.

Is it possible to contract with the local cable company for a cable modem and internet service for the computer using the cable line on your campsite??

Spending 4 months at Ft. Wilderness is one of my future dreams, and was just wondering if this is possible.

Thanks,

Carol

I didn't know it was possible to spend that long?? four months..boy that's lucky.

The "local cable company" is Disney themselves. The cable provided at the sites is the same as that provided in the on site hotel rooms.

I doubt if this is an option. If it were possible, I'm sure they would already be selling this "option".

Just curious....if you DO spend a long time there, will WDW give you a reduced rate?

At the regular rate it would cost you around $6000!!!!

Yes, they have a "Winter Settlers Rate". While it is different each year, it is usually a little lower than the value season rates.
