My wife just read you can rent tents at FW she loves camping and we are DVC members and like to move for the weekends to save points. Has anyone rented a tent from Disney I called and they rent 4 and 8 man tents. Has anyone ever used one and do they have pics etc they could post for me.

Thanks in advance.

My wife wants to camp there so badly she went out this weekend and bought herself a new tent trailer she got a new Jayco J series 1207 so I guess we are pulling that down to camp for the weekend between our DVC weeks.

Fantastic! I am so happy for you all-- but JEALOUS too! I'm shopping HARD for our Christmas trip, but I fear I won't find what I like AND can afford!! If you don't mind, would you consider PMing me and telling me how much they run? I see the list price on the web (I had looked at the 1207 just today!!) but was wondering how much lower, if any, a dealer might go! Of course, there is always that tent option, if I still haven't made up my mind by December!! :rotfl2:

Thanks!

Christy

That is exactly what I did last year I had my FW reservation for December but no camper I had sold our Jayco pop up in the spring time and was looking for a good deal on a FW or TT in our budget. Well about 2 weeks before we were heading to FW we came across this awesome deal. So don't give up!!

You can get some really great deals on leftover models from the previous model year. Also, here in PA the prices drop as fall approaches and the camping season has peaked.

That's great to know! I have come close many times to switching to Pop Century but you guys have me hooked on FW, even though I have never even been!! :confused3 We've done the hotel thing so many times and camping sounds like sooo much better! I, too, am hoping I'll be able to find a great deal as the time gets closer, especially since not many people will be buying campers in December. I hear it's good to shop toward the end of the month, when salesmen are tyring to get a certain number of sales for the month, and also on a rainy day, when not many other shoppers will venture out. If all of my ideas fail, a tent will have to do. And if it gets too cold, I'll warm up in one of my family member's RVs-- which will be on either side of my site. They have offered many times, but I hate to invade their space since I really like MY OWN! :dance3:

Happy camping!

Christy

Just check out the picture below. Is there a better room location on Disney property?

I sent you a pm but will let other folks also know they dropped 2000.00 off MSRP it was about 8500 CDN plus tax which is 15% in Ontario.

Hey wait, I recognize that camper.... were you in FW 2000 loop the last two weeks (6-2/6-18)? We were camping down in 2048 in tents.

Nope, that wasn't me. We haven't been to the fort since last October, and won't be there until this October. :sad2:

Hi Sinclare, I was just down the road from you in site 2062 right across from the comfort station, I was there 5/29-6/6. We had a pop-up and a big tent and a red Mercury Villager. I don't know if you ever saw us on your way to the busses or the comfort station, but if I had known you were there I would have said HI.
