I just realized that our 90 day dining reservation window is our last day in maui...My question is..what time of day can you start making your online reservations ( hubby thought it might be midnight) . Hawaii is behind 6 hours I think so I am wondering what to do in terms of making my reservations..should I just wait until we wake up or should I set my alarm for the middle of the night so that I can call at 9am ET.

No problem, I asked when I called for my October trip, since they've extended free dining into part of my Thanksgiving trip. :headache:

I'll be up bright and early tomorrow to book for Turkey week.

I'm now a convert to the 180 day window, as we've never had a problem booking dining for Thanksgiving with that. Saw how the FD crowds ate into all the ADR's for my October trip.

now I am wondering something else...We have 2 separate reservations...one for one night Jan 8th at a value...then 6 nights at the treehouses. Will I be able to book all of my reservations with the 90 plus 10 rule 90 days from our first reservations even though they are 2 ressies..both on disney property..ugh. If not, then I will be in the air somewhere over the pacific the follwing day.

is this confusing to anyone else but me?

No, It is not confusing to me.
There have been mixed reports here on the DIS. It seems that most folks are NOT able to use the 90+10 advantage with a split stay. A few have reported being able to, but I think the general rule is that you would have to call back on 90 days from the second check in day.
I hope that is not confusing.

My understanding is they are treated as separate reservations. A couple have reported calling and getting an exception but it took some time and back and forth it sounded like and that would leave out most options that are critical for the first day like CRT.

I'm one of those people who was able to make reservations for my entire stay (6-11 Nov) even though it's split. The thing that made me most anxious is that my second reservation starts on my and my sister's birthday (9th), but I was able to book everything at 90 days from the 6th, including CRT on the 9th, no hesitation at all.

I also was able to make all my 90+10 ADR's online for early Nov. a couple of weeks ago even with a split stay.

My understanding is that they have corrected the problems experienced when they first started the online ressies and most recent reports I've read back that up. BUT, I did also speak with a CM about tour reservations and they mentioned to me that there are still glitches and they're never certain when they might run into them.

Just a note that my experience was making reservations by phone, not online. At 6am at 90 days I couldn't get any availability for anything online - everywhere I tried showed nothing and only suggested alternatives. I called later that morning (about 10am? I overslept...) and got everything I wanted, including CRT.

We're arriving on the 6th so I was looking for ressies from the 7th-17th. I got all of mine online and within 15 minutes of what I requested although most were for the exact times. This was for LeCellier, CM, CP, 50's prime time etc. and also did look at CRT although I didn't book that. Even when I was looking at something else the populars would show up as alternatives. :confused3 And other than making 1 ressie on the first day I could (and did that in the afternoon) I made the rest 24-48 hours later. I've given up figuring out how dining works. :rolleyes1

ok thanks guys..so i guess I will try to call for all of our 8 days of reservations on the day of checkout of our first night...even though it is a split stay..its worth a try:thumbsup2
