Question for "Perfect" people

At what point does runDisney start treating being perfect in an event an accomplishment? I think I remember seeing something for perfect Princesses on the 5th anniversary of that event, does it happen before that anniversary?

I'm thinking about trying for perfectly Dopey, and I'm guessing other people have the option to be perfectly Dumbo, but I am trying to figure out if it's worth shooting for that.

The first time that folks were recognized was for the 10th Marathon in 2003. The perfect folks received really cool running Mickey statues and other swag. At some point either the 10th or 15th they were given their original bib numbers to run under for the rest of the marathons.

The next race that was recognized was the 5th Goofy. 10 races and we received some really cool shoe strings, a button and a Mayor McCheese (aka Perfectly Goofy) sash.

I was not at the 5th PHM but I do believe that they did receive some accolades as well.

For the 10th, 20th Mickey and 5th Goofy the runners eligible for the perfect status were named in that year's race program.

Historically, Disney has done well by those who are legacy runners.

I think the 5th anniversary would be the earliest that Disney would start to recognize a perfect streak.

For the 5th Expedition Everest Challenge we received an extra goody bag and also had our names printed on an info sign at the "expo". The main thing in the goody bag was a stuffed yeti wearing Mickey ears which I was excited about because I'd been wanting a yeti for years. (It's the big fluffy round one that you see in the gift shop after coming off the ride.) There was no special bib.

I wouldn't say it's "worth it" in terms of tangible benefits, but for me it's fun to keep up a streak and it lets me justify making an annual WDW trip. It's also easier because EEC is less of a time commitment than trying to be perfectly Dopey. That would be a pretty awesome personal accomplishment if you decide to go for it.

I think it's awesome that they perfect folks get recognized! I wonder how many of them want to be there though and how many are 'made' to do it by family / friends. I saw a number of perfect people and would tell them congrats, good job, show some excitement for them, and everyone of the 4 or 5 I did it too acted like they were pissed off to be there and just gave me death stares...

If it was on Sunday maybe they were still asleep or wanting to be asleep.

It makes little sense as you would not know they were perfect except for the fact THEY changed out the lanyard. I for one love to spend time talking about the effort. It could be that they were confused - I know that at least once every race weekend I have to think through what the person who noticed the lanyard is talking about. I would not let the few bother you.

For perfect princesses we got a tiara and a sash at the expo and a special lanyard. I was hoping that they would list us in the program like they did with the prefect Goofy people but they didn't.

No clue about the lanyards, these were shirts that said "perfectly goofy" or "perfectly _____" etc etc.. Was about mile 4-8 when I did most of them on Sunday. Maybe they were all having a bad day.

I think it means they've done a certain race or series every year it's been offered.
