Which do you think a 12 yo boy & an 8 yo girl would like better? Poly Luau, Cirque du Soliel, or a fireworks cruise. We're hoping to take our nephew & niece with us next June & are wondering which would be most enjoyable to them. DW & I have done the FW cruise before(EPCOT) & Hoop Dee Doo, so we have some idea about a couple of these options. I've seen Cirque on TV. The reason I ask is I'll probably only be able to afford one of them. Thanks for any help.

I've done two of the three with my son when he was 8 and 10.

He enjoyed the Firework cruise (We did this when he was 8).

He liked the Luau but it was a bit boring for him. (He was 10 when we did this one). We had a rainy night for this one, and I think they didn't do as much crowd interaction as they usually do because of it.

We haven't done Circue yet, so I don't know about that one.
Of course Circue is next to my son's favorite place. Disney Quest.

Since you have done the Firework cruise before, you might want to book the Luau. The firedancer was really cool.

Have a good trip!

We took our kids to Cirque last year. They were an 11 year old boy and 8 year old girl. Both are still talking about it. It was absolutely a highlight - not just of that trip, but a highlight of all our Disney trips combined! (They have been 4 times.)

They loved the Hoop Dee Doo and the Luau, but were younger when we did them. The Luau was the Old Mickey's Luau they were 1 & 4; Hoop Dee Doo they were 7 & 5. We haven't done the fireworks cruise.

I definately vote for Cirque Du Soliel:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I have 3 children, 12 & 10 year old boys, 8 year old girl. We have done all 3. While the Luau and Fireworks were fun, Cirque de Soliel made a real impression on them. It appeals to all ages.

We've taken my son three times. The first time he was 3; the second time he was 10. And we were lucky to take advantage of FTP this summer - he's 12.
The first two times, we took him to the Luau. When we went back this summer, he assumed we'd be going to the luau. I wanted to try something different so we went to Hoop De Due. I think he preferred the Luau.
He's seen Cirque on public TV and asked if we could go while we were at Disney. If the trip hadn't been so spontaneous and "last-minute", and we had saved up a little more before we went, I would've loved to take him there.
I think next trip, we'll definitely check out Cirque!
