Does anyone know how often the Osborne Lights dance? And is it always the same music track?

I saw them about a week ago and the song Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas was on right before Carol of the Bells came on and they danced. So what I'm wondering is, is it always that way...or do the songs go in a different order?

I'm kicking myself for not having my video camera with me when I saw them as I had the perfect view, my favorite Christmas song, then they danced. I'm hoping to repeat that when I go back on Thursday. :thumbsup2

We have been there I think 4 times this year, at various times in the evening. I have not kept track of the songs. But it seems to be (with the dancing lights anyway) the same songs. Someone could easily prove me wrong though. ;)
Last time we were there was a little later in the evening and the lights were dancing to Feliz Navidad. Just not the same effect as Trans Siberian Orchestra songs. We like the song. But it did not do justice to the lights.

There are 3 music tracks that the lights will dance to (2 by Trans Siberian Orchestra, and 1 is a version of Feliz Navidad), and the lights dance every 15 minutes.

Aha! I thought they only danced to Carol of the Bells. Thanks for setting me straight. ;)

I've searched iTunes unsuccessfully for the Trans Siberian Orchestra's version of Carol of the Bells (DS, 8, LOVES it). Anyone know where/if this is available?

Thanks!

I believe it is called "Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)" . . . and it is on iTunes under that name.

It is every 4 or 5 songs. You will know when they are about to do it because they turn the snow making machines off.

It is awesome when the lights dance.

Thanks a MILLION! Weird that they renamed it, but I am delighted to be able to get a hold of it for my DS before Christmas!

You are welcome -- my girls love that song, too. I have no idea why it is named that, though.

For the most part they dance every 15 minutes. We were there on December 10th and talked a lot with one of the electricians. He told us that Disney sometimes changes how often they dance. He said that on December 8 or 9 it was so crowded that Disney said not to play the Dancing music to try to get the crowds to move. It back fired on them because everyone hung out waiting to see the dancing music. They then realized what was happening and started to play it more often.

Also, when you are there ask what time the lights get shut off. They are not always the same as the park closing time. On the 10th we were exiting Fantasmic and asked if they were going to turn them off exactly at 8:00 and we were told they would be on until 9:00. It was 7:40 so we road ToT and then went to see the lights. It was EMPTY. We were signing and dancing in the streets having the time of our lives. My dd4 was asked to turn off the lights for the night. They had 2 photographers there to take pictures.

Interesting comments from the CM. That hasn't been our experience at the lights. It has been every 4 or 5 songs. It was very crowded last night and had me wishing for the days where they separated the street into up and down. The entrance/exit was very crowded. I liked it better when they had a separate exit to keep you away from the crowd trying to enter the area.

wow - thanks for that link - that was awesome! makes me even more sad that we didnt make our traditional December trip this year.

well at least I got to see TSO live in concert this year!
