I know that Marlena is the serial killer, but why is she killing? Is she possessed again or something?

That is the $100,000 question. No one knows yet. Apparently it's something that's never been done before and we'll know more in May. Hopefully it won't be a disappointment.

Thanks! Okay, here's another stupid question: Why was she so heartbroken when Roman was killed, if she was the one who killed him? Was she faking it?

I haven't been able to keep up with the show, mostly because I don't want DD to see it and I've been too lazy to set up the TiVo to tape it

But I honestly don't get it either! There has to be something wrong with her head (or the writers!!) I'm just waiting for it to be something like Passions where she ends up not being who we think she is and that's the big twist.

I've been disappointed with how it's been handled anyway, it's so graphic I wonder how many more will die.....

I watch Days on and off and I wasn't watching during the beginning of the killings. I only started watching again in like November, so I only saw some of the latest victims. I know the reason she kills anyone now, is because they suspect her. But what was her reason for killing the first few, like Jack and Abe?

I don't know if she was faking it. She did say something to the effect if he only didn't marry Kate, that was his fatal mistake. And just the other day when Marlena was at Tuscany and Kate got the bloody roses, Marlena had said, Kate should be the one to die, not Roman or words to that affect. So, I do think she was sorry about killing Roman. In fact, she had a dream where she was crying in her sleep saying I'm sorry to all of the people she had killed. It seems like she doesn't want to kill them, but she just can't help herself.
