Question for anyone who has had gastric bypass and dining at Disney

My husband and I are going to be at Disney in a week and I've had gastric bypass. I've made priority seating at Chef Mickey's and reserved the Fantasmic plan at the Brown Derby. Has anyone been able to get the child's rate due to having the surgery? Thanks!

I had the lap band in Sept. Went to WDW in Dec. I have a keychain that my Dr. gave me, I just showed it to the waiter when they came and took our drink order and had no problems with it. Have fun on your trip and will all that walking may you lose alot of weight

FDH had lap band in May (92 lbs gone!!!) we have a card he carried from his Dr. didn't help at buffets though

I had the surgery January 4, 2005 so I'm very close to a year out. I've lost 135 pounds. This will be my sixth trip to Disney World and I weigh what I weighed when I was 11. I can't wait to go and not worry about being too big for rides and things like that (especially at Universal). I never had any problems at Disney World before with size - although it probably took me a little longer to get in an out of those small cars at Space Mountain. I'll be calling my dr's office on Tuesday to get a letter as soon as I can.

I went a year after my surgery (surgery March 04) and it was WONDERFUL!! I rode what I wanted and fit in everything...even RNR which I had heard was small. It was sooo much fun.
