I should know the answer to this, buy I do not. Is the DCA entrance from Grand Californian only for hotel guests? Tomorrow morning my wife and I have an 10:30 reservation at Carnation Cafe, and I'd like to grab WOC fastpasses before breakfast. This entrance seems the quickest way to do this. We are not hotel guests, so I am throwing this question out there.

You will not be able to use at park opening, but after that they should let you in. I have read reports of people that were turned away from entering later on in the day by a CM, but that was never my experience.

If I recall correctly (I could be wrong) but I believe that entrance is only open to GC hotel guest for the first hour and after that it's open to everyone else.

I've been told in the past that it's hotel guests only until about 11 am...then open to anyone. I would call the hotel and double check what time they open it to anyone, just to be sure.

It's open to hotel guests only until 11am...If you have a meal at GCH they will let you in before, though. But there is a big sign at the entrance that says "Hotel Guests only until 11am"

You can also use the entrance if you make a purchase at the hotel gift shop or restaurants

I believe any Disney Property guests can use it...

You can use the entrance if you are staying at any of the 3 hotels. If you are staying off property, you can use it after 11am.

Just for clarification, the DCA entrance from the Grand is for all three resort hotel guests and hotel business patrons ONLY, however they typically only enforce that and check for room keys or restaurant receipts up until 11am at which point anyone can come through.

I have seen it enforced during the day and evenings, but that was only on a rare occasion like NYE and major holidays.

We have never, ever had a problem (not staying in any DH) but we have only been through after 11

That is NOT true. There is a specific sign in the GCH lobby from both side elevators that says it's open after 11am to everyone. I have a picture somewhere - something like "Our Entrance is for hotel guest only until 11am".

They do have a policy if you've "patronized" the hotels you can use the entrance before 11am, but it's at the CM discretion. Back in the day people would just buy a candy from Acorn Gifts & Goods and use that receipt to enter and grab WOC FP's.
