Question about WL and transportation...

hi all! Just needed some expertise about travelling from WL to other disney resorts and parks. I know the boat takes you to Magic Kingdom and the TTC I believe. So if we wanted to go to the Contemporary or Polynesian for dinner what would be the best way to go about doing that? Take a boat to the TTC and then the monorail to the resort? Or does the boat go anywhere but Magic Kingdom?

We have stayed at WL a couple of years ago and are going back again in October. There is a boat that takes you directly to MK and another that shuttles between WL and the Contemporary. I do not believe that a boat goes to the TTC, at least not one a couple of years ago. If that is still the case you can take the boat to either MK on the Contemporary then the monorail to the TTC or the Poly. You can also take a boat from MK to the Poly & TTC

We were there in December and there is one boat line that takes you to the MK and one that you take to the Contemporary and Fort Wilderness. This is a change from a couple of years ago when WL shared a boat with FW to the MK. There is not a boat to the TTC and not even a bus anymore from what I understand. There is bus service also to the MK, Epcot, DTD, AK and HWS (that's still hard to get used to from MGM!). I would do the boat to the Contemporary but be certain to leave plenty of time if you're going for a reservation as you never know for certain about the service and travel times.

There is no transportation from any resort to the TTC.

It's very easy to get to the CR and Poly from WL. Take the small boat (runs CR/WL/FW). The ride to CR is less than 5 minutes. To get to the Poly, just hop on the monorail.
