I posted before asking about waiting in lines with my dd who has Aspeger's. My question now is... She is getting too big for the strollers at the parks, but she still gets tired quick and that turns into meltdowns. We are going for a week and this is the longest we have been there since she was like 4. Since we used to live down there we only went for day trips. Will people be bothered or upset if we rent her a wheelchair for her to use when she gets tired? I don't plan to use it to get into rides, we will park it and go in I just want to use it like a stroller where she can get it and rest and sometimes take a break. My dh also gets tired (rather quickly) and I am sure he wouldn't mind using it sometimes to rest. Will we be ok doing this? Or is there another option? Thank you!!

You need to do what makes sense for your family.

How old is she and how tall?
If she's close to adult height, she may be comfortable in a wheelchair. Keep in mind though that most of the wheelchairs available at the parks are adult sized. For a smaller person, that might mean that the armrests are up around her shoulders and the edge of the seat comes below knee level if she sits back in the wheelchair.
If she's smaller, she may be more comfortable either renting a smaller wheelchair or a special needs stroller (basically a large umbrella stroller made for larger children or small adults). There is information in the disABILITIES FAQs thread about renting both in post #2.
