Question about WDW Tickets (upgrading)

I already purchased my tickets for our upcoming trip.

I purchased the base MYW 5 day + 1 day free

Dh and I have been talking about just adding the no expiration option to our tickets, because we will only go 4 days. (kids will need downtime and we want to go to the beach)

I didn't realize that if you got the Water Park ticket addition it gave you the same amount of Water Park tickets as MYW tickets, making it a great value.

So, here's my questions-
Since I have the 5 day, 1 free (6 day total) would I be better off using the free day, and then upgrading at Guest Services?
(They don't have a WP & More, No Exp. ticket available)

Or would I be better off to just exchange them now through Undercover Tourist?

Thanks!

Well....on the future trip where you would use the remaining two days (and waterparks/more if you add that)...would those days fill up your trip entirely?

If you would want to add more park days, you might be better off just buying a 4 day this time (and yes you can add WP&M at the parks) and an appropriate ticket next time OR when you get to the parks, adding all the days you'll need, WP&M if you want that, AND the no-expiration, so that your ticket will take care of your future needs.

Does that make sense?

Because you'll be adding no expiration to a 6 day ticket (which is what you have, even though UCT words it differently), paying for that option. Will that be worth it for 2 park days (and 6 WP&M entries if you add that)?

Or might it be worth buying a 10 day ticket (10 days at parks, 10 entries to WP&M), adding no -expiration to that, and getting all of those visits to spread out over 2, maybe even 3 (depending on how you visit WDW), trips?

Oh, and you'll want to enter the park first, then upgrade (doesn't matter when, as long as it's during your visit). That "bridges" the cost you paid to the cost of the ticket at the gate, so you should only pay the difference between what you're upgrading to and the *current* at the gate cost of what you have in your hand. It *should* work like that. :)

We are planning on going back in 1yr and going to Sea World / Busch Gardens & just a day each at MK & Epcot. If we had the WP&M tickets we would probably do that as well.

Before you add the no expiration, make sure you will ONLY want the 2 park days + the water park days next time. You can't add more days on for the
2nd vacation.

Can I add at any time?

You can add within 14 days of first use.

If you add the no expiration after using the first 4 days, you can't add more days when trying to use the remaining 2 days. You can only add more days within the 2 weeks of first using the 4 days. Does that make sense? I think I'm confusing myself.

I think I get it. I can add more time and no expiration as long as I do it within 14days of first us, and before I use the 4th day on the ticket?

So, go upgrade on day 3 if I so choose to?

Can I upgrade at any of the parks, or only certain ones?

You actually can use 4 days, go home for a week, and then call and more time and expiration. Just remember that the cost of the no expiration depends on the TOTAL number of days on a ticket, not the left over days. As long as all changes are made within the 14 days of using the 1st day, you're good. You can upgrade at any park or dtd or over the phone.

I really wish Cheshire Figment would happen along and attach his wonderful ticket sticky.....I'm technologically challenged or I would do it myself. There's a wonderful sticky with everything you need to know about tickets...it would spell everything out in wonderful detail for you.

Hopefully everything is clearer now....enjoy your trip!
