Question about Water parks.

I am going to WDW in January. Are both water parks even open in January (beginning)? Would it be worth adding the water park option onto my ticket? Or should I not do that? Is Disney Quest open in January?

Ok January seems to be an interesting month
January 1-6th TL is open
then the 6th to the end of the month it's closed
then for BB
It's closed 1-6th but OPEN 6-end of the month

Hi Brocklesnar69 - Yes, Disneyquest is open in January. We've been to WDW several times in December/January and the weather is variable. We're going again this year (Dec 28 - Jan 07) and will wait until we get there to decide whether or not to add the "water park fun & more option" to our base passes. If all goes well we plan to hit Typhoon Lagoon early in our trip and Blizzard Beach on the 7th of January. Both parks are great, but Blizzard Beach is our favourite (family with kids who are now 10 & 13). If you're only planing to do one of the "more" options, it's cheaper to pay for it separately at the gate.

We're planning on waiting until we get there to see if the weather will cooperate for a day at the waterpark. From what I hear it could be pretty cool, or it could be nice and warm, and there is just no way to know. We don't plan on buying the waterpark option because it will be cheaper to do it at the gate.

When we went this Jan. only BB was open. We went one day when it wasn't too cold and there wasn't any rain predicted. I think it was in the 70's that day, a little cool but still worth the trip. Next month when we go again we plan on doing both parks since the weather will be warmer-we absolutely love them!
