I am pretty much a newbie-- haven't been to the world since 1993, when I was graduating high school. We are going in two weeks (YAY!) and staying at POP. I know many people go visit other resorts to walk around and/or to dine, but I was wondering if it is okay to go to a "beach" that is at a resort you are not staying at...
I know using the pools at other resorts is frowned upon (understandably), but I wasn't sure about the beaches. I know my 2 year old daughter would be in heaven if she got to pay in the sand at some point... So, I was just wondering!

OMG I actually DO worry about this!!! This is our first visit to FL and WDW. We leave on the 23rd of this month. I've actually heard of a little boy being killed in FL (not at wdw) by a gator a few years ago. Are they really in the water by WDW? I'm from MN and have absolutely NO CLUE when it comes to this stuff!!
