Question about using Disney Reward points

Can anyone help me with a question about using our Disney Visa Reward points. We have "points" earned. If we transfer them to a reward card, we think that the card will expire (?at the end of the year?). If we want to use the reward points only in 2012 - is this possible? Where do they expire from?

You can extend the points that expire by transferring them to a rewards card. I'm not exactly sure of how long, but I do know that the rewards card expire as well. We went to WDW in '09 and took $500 of Disney points on a rewards card with us. We had $50 left over after our trip. That card was set to expire in 12/10. I used the $50 to book our next disney trip at the end of last year.

Your card and all the points that are on it will expire at the end of December of the year following the year in which it was requested. So if you request your card today, it will expire Dec. 31, 2012.

They accumulate on your Visa account for either 3 or 5 years (can't remember exactly) and once you transfer them to a rewards card, they expire in 1 year. I would leave them to accumulate on your account until 2 months before you want to use them, then request your rewards card. Any points you accumulate after ordering the card can be added to the card by calling the rewards # on your Visa.

Yes, it tells you on your statement when your various points expire.
