I have an unused 2day/2 park ticket that I would like to upgrade to an annual pass. This is not the extra day free ticket, but a non-expiring ticket good for 2 days. About how much would the upgrade be, and does Universal even do ticket upgrades like this?

If you upgrade to the Power Pass it will cost anywhere from $0 to $10 to upgrade (depending on what you paid for your ticket).

If you upgrade to the Preferred annual pass it will cost between $60-$70 to upgrade your ticket.

All tickets can be upgraded except complimentary tickets or child's free tickets.

IIRC, I paid about $100 or so last summer. So it looks like the upgrade cost would be minimal for the Power Pass, unless I decided to get the Preferred Pass. Does the Preferred pass include free parking also?

The Power Pass does not have free parking and does not have any discounts on food and merchandise. It also has Black Out Dates The Preferred Pass has free parking and discounts on food and merchandise. There are no blackout dates on the Preferred annual pass.

I would get the Preferred because when you renew in a year, the price is the same for renewal on both the Preferred and the Power pass ($99 plus tax).

Okay, thanks so much for your help!

It looks like the Preferred is the better deal for me, especially with the cheap renewal.
