Question about upgrading tickets to AP

I have a question about upgrading tickets. Can you use a ticket to the Halloween party to upgrade your 5 day park hopper to an AP? I have been reading through the Halloween thread and I didn't see it mentioned there, and since you have to buy a separate ticket to go, and you get admission, does that go towards a pass if you choose?

No, this wouldn't work. Even AP holders have to buy a separate admission ticket to the Halloween party.

Nope, won't work. The Halloween party ticket is considered a "hard ticket event"...and the ONLY thing this ticket is good for is getting into the party. You can't even use it to enter the park until 4:00pm (at least in the past it's been 4pm...party starts at 7pm). If you try to enter at 3pm they'll deny you entrance.

So...nope, it's money paid for the party only. Too bad, that would be a cool expense if we could use it towards more days or an AP. Anything to cut the expense, lol.

Thank you both for your quick reply. I have read through the Halloween thread a few times, and I guess I was hoping to some how make a trip happen this year. I guess now I have to figure out how to make that work,...hmm. Thanks again for your quick responses!
