Question about upgrading from Signature to Signature AP for CA residents

So my question is if I have a Signature A/P and I want to upgrade to the Signature Plus and I am a CA resident and I am on the payment plan my understanding is that I must pay the difference to upgrade which would be $200. What I want to know is can I still be on the payment plan and continue paying what I am paying currently and just pay the $200 or do they make you pay the balance off right then and there. I am just trying to decide on which A/P to get. DD20 purchased hers yesterday and will be using it for the first time next week but with all of this talk about Max Pass I wouldn't be surprised if they added it in as a bonus on the Signature Plus A/P. I mean who knows Disney is always changing stuff and they didn't change the price of these passes when they changed the prices on everything else recently which makes me wonder why.. I mean there may be a reason. I am just trying to think ahead and think smart.
