Okay we are planning on getting the buy 2 get 1 free tickets. We are going to be at Universal for 3 days (Fri-Sun). We are planning on staying offsite on Friday and using the tickets that day, then Saturday we will check in to Royal Pacific so that we can have express passes Saturday and Sunday.

My question is - we will be purchasing the tickets seperate from the room reservation - so how does that work for express passes? Will us using them on Friday be a big deal? I guess i'm not clear on how it works exactly.

Does this make sense or is it clear as mud? :goodvibes

Any help would be appreciated!!

If i remember correctly (been 2 years since we have been) Your room key will serve as your express pass. they are two separate things and using your tickets a day before will not hurt you at all .

Okay so I just found an article about the new way they are doing express passes (I havent been to Uni since 2008!) - from what I understand you just go up to the kiosk and insert your room key to get the express pass - it doesn't have anything to do with our tickets correct?

I believe that you now have to get a photo id for express pass. There is a set up in the lobby to have this done after you check in Saturday morning.

once you have checked into the onsite hotel, you are issued a hotel card with your name on it.

you take that card to the kiosk in the lobby to have your express pass made.

instructions are on the stand by the kiosk.

this is what you show to the TM when using the express lines for rides/shows.

your hotel room key is what you show the TM in order to use the hotel entrance to the park for the early entry.

if you are staying offsite on friday, you won't be using the express lines in the park unless you pay for them.

if you check in to the hotel on saturday, you can use the express lines on saturday and the day you check out of the hotel.
