Question about the waitlist

I have a ressie for BCV for July but want to move it up to May. There was no availablity when I called today so I was put on a waitlist for BCV and BWV. My question is once the waitlist comes through, does Disney automatically make the ressie for me and cancel my other ressie? Thanks.

Did you request "auto-confirm" or phone call?

Autoconfirm (or whatever the phrase is) will automatically update your ressie to the waitlist request and cancel the original.

Phone call - is when MS contacts you the day it becomes available for further instructions.
