Question about the new American Girl Doll 'Marie-Grace'

My younger dd is really debating on whether she wants Marie-Grace or one of the My American Girl dolls (and she doesn't know it yet, but I'm slyly trying to get her to choose one so that Santa can bring it, lol)

She's wanting it to look as close as possible to her.. she was looking at the light skin/freckles/long brown hair/blue eyed one.. but then when she saw Marie-Grace, she really fell in love with her hair.

The problem is, is that in the book, it shows Marie-Grace as having blue eyes, but the doll looks to be more green-eyed. And my dd really wants her doll to have blue eyes, long brown hair.

Does anyone know the true eye color of Marie-Grace?

I think they are blue. If you look at the book cover, her eyes are a vivid blue color, and they always match the book to the doll. The doll looks blue to me as well. My DD wants her, too, but I'm waiting to see what QVC does. Not sure if they will sell the new dolls, though.

I had no ideas they sold AG dolls on QVC...are they any less expensice on there??? DD loves AG dolls. We re planning a trip to the new store in DC in a few weeks!!!!

I think they will be on QVC.com, but maybe not a show (therefore not on the schedule). I haven't heard yet, but the AG anniversary on QVC is in Sept., so I was guessing it may be then. But, who knows? My DD likes Kanani and Marie-Grace, but I told her it all depends on what QVC sells.

To the other poster, QVC sells bundles, which are a savings. You can look at last year'd thread for an idea of prices, but it's almost like getting an outfit or two at a good discount.

My DD also wants Kanani and Marie-Grace! I am praying that QVC at least does a bundle for Kanani since she's the doll of the year. We've gotten Lanie and Elizabeth in the past years from QVC and I loved their deals

It sounds like Kanani and Marie-Grace will be popular this year. My DD9 also wants Kanani and Marie-Grace. Marie-Grace is the first AG doll that we have found with light skin, long brown hair (no bangs) and blue eyes - just like DD.

She is saving the money for 1 and only needs $20 more. My neighbor is going away soon and pays DD to water her plants and play with the dog while I dog sit. She should hit the major amount by the end of September.

DD has asked for the other doll as her birthday present in November. Hopefully QVC will have good deals so that Santa can bring some things.
