"Rooms and Rates
There is a maximum of 5 guests per room, and a minimum of two-night stay required. The various rates for a two night stay are listed below.

1 Adult: $598 Regular Season, $552 Value Season
2 Adults: $342 Regular Season, $319 Value Season
3 Adults: $257 Regular Season, $242 Value Season
4 Adults: $214 Regular Season, $219 Value Season Each child is an additonal $67 charge per night in both Regular and Value Season. This increases to $85 a night for stays of 4 nights or longer. Guests should check the official Disneyland Web Site for the most up to date rates and information. "

I was curious if anyone could tell me any more about this. I looked at the official DL website but could find nothing talking about the extra charges, specifically the ones for children. We're planning a trip to DL in July 2005 for approximately 9 nights and it will be DH and I plus 3 kids (3,1, & 1) and that extra charge of $255 per night for the three kids is just outrageous. Heck, even if the littlest ones are free, $85 for just DD age three at the time is ridiculous. I didn't see anything about these fees for the two other official DL resorts so I'd love it if someone can tell me if this is a bunch of junk, end of story, if this is true at all the resorts, or if this is just at the Disneyland Hotel. If it is just at Disneyland Hotel then it is definitely not worth it to stay there but we need to be booking our trip soon and I need to start making these decisions. I'm hoping someone on this list knows and can tell me, or at the very least is there a toll free reservations # for DL that I can call to get the final answer?

It sounds like this site you are quoting from might be pricing for an entire package or something that includes tickets? From what I know, there aren't extra room charges for kids (most families going to DL have kids, or friends who go with them). Anyhow, those rates sound like package rates, not hotel rates.

Walt Disney Travel Company is easy to work with for a package deal, or you might consider buying an annual pass and saving $$ on your room. With an AP rate, a standard room at the DLH is $129 currently (subject to change and based on availability, you have to be flexible and this rate might not be available during peak season).

We just got back from DL with our 2 and 5 year old. We had a blast. I'll look up the WDTC phone number...and post it later if someone else doesn't do it first.

Hmm, I can't find my notes with the toll free number that I used, but the website directed me to (800) 225-2024 to make travel plans. Try it and see what they say? Good luck!
