Question about the AP and Tables in Wonderland Card

We are traveling to WDW in Oct and are planning to stay offsite because it is a huge chunk cheaper with TONS of space. Because of this decision we are having to rent a car now and I saw that with an AP parking is free. I know I can purchase a TIW card as well which would help for dining.
My question is:
Can I purchase a child's AP and still get the TIW card and the free parking or does it need to be an adult AP? I would be purchasing the AP solely for the discounts not because I think we will be back to WDW within the year. Hope that is not confusing. Thanks for your input.

No, you can't. TIW cardholders must be at least 21, and room discounts/AP dining packages are also not available with a child's AP.
