Question about the Aladdin show

We just returned from our trip to DL. Had an awesome time, but we noticed that in the Aladdin musical they no longer have the lead actor/actress "fly" on a magic carpet out over the audience. Does anyone know why they discontinued doing this? Just curious if there were safety concerns, etc. TIA

Likely it simply wasn't working the day you saw the show. This happens occasionally.

Apparently it has not been working for awhile - maybe a month or more. Supposedly it is coming back at some point. I was hoping to catch Aladdin again in early August and hope they have it going by then. Bummer you missed it.

Thanks for satisfying our curiosity! DH and I did get to see Aladdin 2 years ago and really enjoyed that part of the show, although you couldn't pay ME enough to swing around up there. LOL
