We are planning to stay at CR, but due to the kids getting out of school early on Friday, can now fly down Friday evening, rather than early Sat. We will not have a rental. Will be using a town car service.

I would rather not pay for the CR, when we won't even get there until after 9pm. I was thinking either a cheap hotel near the airport, or maybe ASm, or the such.
Do we need to check in at CR, on Sat, or will everything just transfer. I will prob. book it as 2 sep reservations, so that I don't have to pay for the meal plan on the 8th night.

I know that Disney will move our stuff for us. Also will have a few groceries. Just basic stuff. The only thing that will need to stay cold, is some milk, and maybe some cheese. Should I plan on a cheap styrofoam cooler, since my stuff could be sitting, waiting for our new room?

Thanks :flower: :flower:

You will need to check in at CR on Saturday. Check-ins do not carry over between resorts (you need to get new room keys / resort IDs). I'm not sure about your perishable items. Anyone else?

Our moves have been seamless, when on Disney property. You will need to check in again at CR, but if you simply tell bell services at the first resort about the move, they will take care of it for you, like magic (tip them on both ends). As for perishables, a cooler with an ice pack may not be a bad idea.

Good luck!

It sounds like you need to stay at one of the Disney value resorts since you are not going to have a rental car, otherwise you will need to find transportation from the airport to hotel #1 and again to the CR. I doubt you want to pay for two towncar fees. You will need to check out of All-Stars in the morning and then into CR. Disney will transport your luggage for you, but you would have to take the cooler with you to the CR.

We were considering making the same change in our plans, but we opted to take an early morning flight the next day instead. We also have a town car service with a grocery stop and are staying at the CR. We don't want to hassle with checking in/out, transportation and a cooler (since the CR has fridges in the rooms now). Our plan is to check in at CR around noon, and head over to the MK. CR should have cold storage for our grocery items if our room's not ready.

It sounds like you're going to be at WDW for a week. If you don't get in until late Friday night, is all the hassle worth it just to have a few extra hours in the park on Saturday?
