Question about split stays and free dining

Hey everyone, I have a question and am guessing this may be the most appropriate board for it.

So we are going to Disney this fall and hoping for free dining. Also, this time around we cannot make up our minds so we are leaning towards a split stay. If I stay at Wilderness lodge for first 5 nights (with free dining) and then move to the AKV (on rented points), am I only allowed to use my free dining while I am at Wilderness or can we use them while at AKV?

Thanks so much for any advice, we appreciate it!

You will only be able to use it until midnight of your check-out day from the WL.

This is correct. Your dining credits (free or paid) are valid from the time you check in until midnight the day you check out.

The pp's are correct. Also, just wanted to mention that you can't get free dining when staying on points (not sure if that's what you were asking or if you were asking if credits from the WL stay could transfer over to the AKV stay). You can pay for the DDP and have the DVC member add it to your AKV reservation without having to buy park tickets, but you aren't able to get free dining when renting points.

Thank you guys! We are going to book Wilderness though Disney and hopefully get free dining, so yes I was asking if it would transfer to the second half of our stay.

You guys are the best, I appreciate it!
