Question about Simple Escapes club

I joined and ordered a bunch of meal vouchers and I was just looking through the rest of the Simple Escapes website and came across the 5% travel rebate. Has anyone done this? Is it worth it and does it cover the hotel, air and rental car? Any food? I was planning on cancelling after the month, but it may just be worth keeping the membership if they do give you 5% back on all travel.

I do not remember exactly what the term is. But there is a limit on the travel rebate. Also they divide the limit to 4 quarters. So you will have to stay for the entire year to get the full amount. What is the fee for Simple Escape now? I switched to Hotwire Savings club. I am paying $7.95 per month.

You get some vouchers for the 5% rebate on travel. There was a maximum amount for each voucher, I want to say it was $25 or $50 but I'm not sure. I can't remember all the details, but I know each voucher was valid for a certain period of time, and travel had to be during that time. I think each voucher was valid for 1 quarter (i.e. Jan to Mar, Apr to May, etc). With each voucher, you send in your receipts (had to be after travel was completed) for air and/or hotel and you were supposed to get 5% back up to the maximum amount of the voucher.

I looked into it when I tried out Simple Escapes but decided to cancel anyway. I added up the costs of what I'd be getting back and I remember it wasn't worth it for me. I switched to HWSC instead, I still have that program.

Thank you both - honestly I'm not even sure how much Simple Escapes is because I planned on cancelling, for some reason I'm thinking $79 a year. I do enjoy the discounts on the gift cards though! I guess I'll order the vouchers and see what the limit is and decide from there. It may just be worth keeping it.
