they have some food that is not evn on the menu at night that they offer during the lunch hour. Does anyone know if they allow you to get something from the lunch menu at night?? I do not mind paying more for it b/c it will be dinner, but I wanted to go at night this time and we used to go during the day. Thanks!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I would think if they have it in the kitchen they will make it for you. DW has certain allergies to food and is always asking to have " special" things made for her , based on what she see on the menu. It has never been a problem.

One year the executive chef at Chef Mickey's came out to help with a question. He told her that even on a buffet they would prepare special items. He had a great knowedge of all kinds of special food needs.

Bottom line don't be bashfull ( no pun intended) . If the server says no ask the manager. I have never had a special food request turned down at WDW . BTW last year my wife wanted an item on the kids menu( at San Angel Inn) and they served it to her at the kids prices !!

I have requested Chicken Mole at lunch on 3 occasions. It is on the dinner menu. It was prepared for me without hesitation. On our last visit I asked for the bass to be prepared differently than was on the dinner menu and again it was cheerfully presented. We love this place and have always found the staff to be sweet and accomodating. ENJOY!

Dvc Guy and MamaQuack,

Thank you so much. I will ask for it!!1 That makes me feel so much better!!! I love San Angel too!! WONDERFUL FOOD!!! GREAT ATMOSPHERE!! FRIENDLY STAFF!!

DEah have a great rrip and enjoy the food.
We will dining at San Angel Inn on 12/31 Can't wait..........

I just made a PS for my husband and I for tomorrow night. I'll let you know how it goes.

I don't just ask for chicken mole at lunch--I ask for chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. So far, they have always made it for me! We'll see if they are still as accomodating this month!

My DS has severe food allergies, and there can be no cheese anywhere near his plate. We had called ahead to check with the chef, explained our order carefully to the server--and it arrived covered in cheese.

I realized that the server was gracious and lovely--but didn't understand much english. If it's an out of the ordinary (or, in our case, life and death) request at San Angel I'd make sure your waiter understands what you're asking for.

(the waiter's English was still much better than my spanish!;)

I would think that they would prepare it for you no problem. Not sure if you would have to pay the dinner price though.
