We are going in June and got a time to eat for 7:30. If you are seated inside is there a place for you to stand outside to watch the show and then return to your seat inside?

Thanks,
Patty

when we were there last year in September and we ate outside. In my opinion it was pretty close. I don't think there would be enough room to stand in the restaurant area. Btw, the food at the Rose & Crown is very salty. At least it was when we went. Especially the potatoes. The CM we mentioned it to said that is the norm for that restaurant.

We had seats inside where you couldn't see Illuminations so we just went outside and stood and watched. We were actually in the way of the CM's quite a bit but they didn't seem to mind. We kept apologizing for being in the way and they all said no problem.

That's what we did last June. Our table was inside and we went outside, with the CMs blessing, for Illuminations. It was WONDERFUL!!! The staff are so nice and the food was great! Enjoy!

We ate at R&C last week, party of 8, we had a 7:40 ADR (which we were able to get that day at 2:30!) anyway, our server, Ian invited us to go out onto the patio for Illuminations and then return to our table for desert. We did and it was great, Ian even served us our hot drinks while we were outside. We were at the restaurant until approx 1 hour after Epcot closed and had no issues getting transportation back to our hotel.

I just made reservations for 7:30 on April 1st and I specifically asked the CM about going outside to watch Illuminations if we were seated inside. She wasn't sure so she called the restaurant and they said it was fine to do that. :flower: :pug:

MickeyPower-My family had a late dinner there last month for the express purpose of having an Illuminations seat. They won't guarantee you an outside table, which we had last time, so we ate inside this time. When it was time for the show, our server escorted us to a patio table by the water. We were served our drinks there during the show, and our dinner was ready when we went back in. It was chilly out there, but there are these tower heaters that keep you comfortable. This was our second experience watching Illuminations there, and it's the only way we'll watch it now! It is my understanding that there is a section of patio table reserved for those eating inside to watch the show.

As for the food being salty, I'm watching my salt intake for BP and have not noticed that the food was salty. I'm pretty sensitive to that. Difference in cooks, maybe?

Be sure you check the show times-it was at 9:30 when we were there last month, and is at 7 when we will be there later this month. Have a great time!

Hi,

I took my mom one year for Mother's Day and we ate inside, in the back of the restaurant, right next to the window and we had a great view of Illuminations right from our seats! But, you could always go stand outside there as well. :)
