Question about rooms available at WDW Monorail Resorts

After always staying at DVC resorts since joining in 1992, my husband wants to stay at a monorail resort this fall (since it's only the two of us).

He wants to stay in a Club Level room because he thinks this would get us the best location (first choice is Grand Floridian). I don't think we would use any other perks for the club level -- concierge, royal palm room -- but, for him, it would be worth it if the room location and the room itself was better.

Does anyone know.

I don't know what you consider the best room location, pool view, lagoon view, or main building. You can ask for those individual locations without paying for club level. Personally, I think pool view is the best view, but then my vacation revolves around the pool. To me, everything else is secondary. I would assume that your DH--a man--might have different paramaters for a great room than I do. ;)

There are some nice rooms at the GF with "Lagoon View". Some even have a view of the MK from the patio. The Concierge rooms are also great with a variety of views. We have gotten upgrades to some great club level rooms in the past. While you might think you wouldn't enjoy the benefits of concierge, the little extras truly make you feel special and pampered.

The Tower rooms at CR are also nice- especially if you have a MK view. We left our blinds open all night and could see the lights changing on the castle throughout the night.

The Poly has some wonderful MK views from the club level rooms.

So many options and is is nice to splurge once in awhile.

Enjoy!

At the GF, all the club level rooms are either in the main building or in Sugar Loaf. All rooms in these buildings are club level.

The rooms are the same size as regular rooms in the GF with the exception of suites and some rooms in the main building which are called deluxe rooms.

Sugar Loaf rooms face either the marina or the courtyard looking toward the quiet pool.

We've never stayed in Royal Palm Club which is what the main building club level is called but the rooms have varying views. Some look toward the Polynesian and the Wedding Chapel, others face the grounds and some look toward the marina with the MK beyond.

The club level rooms at the Polynesian are also standard sized rooms. All lagoon view rooms there look right at the MK as does the lounge. Beautiful view. I've read that if you stay on points at the club level at the Polynesian, you will have lagoon view. With the exception of suites, all the club level rooms at the Polynesian are in the Hawaii building which has a wonderful location.

Have fun. And I agree with Doc, the pampering is fun!

Thanks to all. DH has now said his main objective would be to be in the main building.
