Question about rooms at OKW...

We have tried to book a Grand Villa at OKW for May but there aren't any available.

Does anyone know if there are Studio rooms and 2 Bedroom rooms that are side-by-side. There are 10 of us going (3 different families) and want to be able to walk between the rooms.

I don't know about side by side, there certainly aren't any with connecting doors.

When you make the resservaton, request on both reservations to be "near" the other party. Most likely you'll be in the same building, which it very convenient.

No, there are no studios adjacent to a 2BR villa - all would be separated by a 1BR. There are no dedicated studios - all are lock-off units.

As Chuck noted, if you request that the villas be close to each other, the resort will often be able to get them in the same building. Requests are not guaranteed, but requests involving multiple rooms are given some priority.

I didn't figure there were any w/connecting rooms but was curious about them being right next door. Since the 3 families are 1 set of grandparents & a grown child, my family and another SIL, BIL and niece we really wanted to be right next to eachother.

As WMDoc said, there aren't any studios right next to a 2BR. If the villas are in the same building, you will be very close to each other anyway. Good luck...sounds like a fun trip!

Did you try the waitlist? We got a GV at OKW last Oct. I was waitlisted from April to September. Sure was worth the wait! Great fun!

If you request near each other, you will likely be in the same building. Bear in mind that might mean you will be on different floors or have different entrance stairs.

This is what we had in Sept last year - 2 BR in middle of building 2nd floor and studio on the end of building 1st floor. It was really just down the stairs and around the corner probably less than a minute from door to door. People were back and forth all the time. You might even get lucky and have them on the same level.
