Can I use a passholder room only discount for my stay the 16-22 of December and then add the deluxe dining plan on later down the road if I have a FL resident seasonal pass? I know that an annual passholder can do this, but didn't know if the seasonal passes counted. I assume that when I add the deluxe dining onto the room only reservation I will need to pay the balance in full 45 days before my arrival, correct? Thanks in advance for any help.

If you decide to do this, you won't be adding a dining plan onto your room only res.
In the end your room only res will be cancelled and you will book an AP ticketless package.
Don't cancel your room only res until you know you have the package you want.
However my understanding is a seasonal passholder is a passholder. So you should be able to book a ticketless package, depending on availability.

Thank-you very much. Will the discounted room rate still apply when the original reservation is canceled or will it change to full price for the room?

I have a seasonal pass and was able to add dining (counter service) and still get an AP discount on the room.

Yes, it should. While it is a "new" reservation, it's also a "modification" of an existing reservation. Otherwise, the ability to add the dining plan to a room only reservation at least 72 hours before arrival wouldn't make much sense.
