I've been trying to make a budget for our upcoming 2008 trip. Does anyone know if the price quoted on the Disney website includes the resort fee?

Thanks so much!:)

We always try to budget a 10% fudge factor for all the things we forgot to budget and we budget very tightly. Gas being one.

Are you sure? We've booked through Costco (who goes the WDTC) twice and when we made our reservations, the price we were quoted at the end was our final price. I guess I should clarify that the original price they quote doesn't include it, but once you go further in the booking process they'll show you your final price. We've never had to pay anything extra when we get there (stayed at the GCH).

Most places I know of (costco, aaa, WDTC, & getawaytoday) include all taxes and resort fees in teh price quoted when booking a package(hotel & parkhoppers). If you are just booking hotel only, then no, the resort fee is not included.

I agree with victorandbellasmom. If you are getting a quote through the web site for the hotel only, it quotes you the flat room rate without the resort fee or taxes (hotel taxes which run of the order of 15% are much higher than the resort fee). If you are getting a quote for a package that includes tickets (and perhaps air fare), the quote should be a total which includes all taxes and, I do believe, the resort fee.

I just ran an example. For a 3 night stay in late August, the room only quote was $855 for a standard DLH room. That amounts to $285/night, the basic room rate without taxes and resort fee. For the same 3 nights, a package for 2 adults with 2 4-day PHs was $1409. If I did the math correctly, that amounts to a difference of $554. The PHs should run $179 each or $358 total. The remaining nearly $200 should cover the taxes and resort fees.

Thanks everyone. I really wondered about the resort fee because when I was looking at the disney site and plugged in my dates and than continued further into the process it gave me the room rate with the tax, but didn't include the resort fee.

I guess when I make reservations, I'll ask the CM!
