Question about resort activities

We are going to DW in July. We are staying at the Hotel Royal Plaza. We want to do water activities at the Contemporary Resort and try other activities at other resorts as well. Do you know if we will be allowed to do this or do we need a special resort id badge to do these things since we are not staying at one of Disney's Official Resorts? I've only been once and it was only for a weekend and this time we are going for a whole 6 days and we want to do all there is to do out there!!

Not sure what you want to do at other resorts.

You can't swim.

You can rent water mice.

You can shop and eat.

You can rent bikes.
