After reading the recent posts about people getting HC rooms even though they had requested not having one, I am wondering if making that request makes any difference.
We are traveling to WDW in mid May and will be in a GV for a week with another family who will be staying DVC for the first time. Since there will be 4 children with us, two of whom are barely 2 and into EVERYTHING, and the other two are 4 and only take baths, having a HC room would really be a bit of trouble with the lowered countertops/stove access and lack of tub.
How many GVs are HC, and do you think it would be worth it to call member services and specify non HC in our requests? I often wonder if doing so winds up having people being assigned a HC room when the CM misreads non HC as a request for HC.
