Question about renting an already booked reservation

So my neighbor called me.... Said he had 27 points expiring on his MIL account by like February or something. I told him find an open room somewhere and book it so he could possibly rent it out. 2 months availability is pretty slim pickings I would assume.
Low and behold he was able to find (edited to remove details)... A few more points than the ones that were going to expire. Does David's rentals do existing reservations? That was my first instinct to have him call them... Or do you think the rental board here would find him any luck?

David's does do existing reservations, but depending on when it is, it could fall under "last minute" and be rented at a deep discount. Go to David's website under owner's info and there's more information on that. He has to weigh his pros and cons and it also depends on the date(s). If the reservation starts Christmas Eve, it may be easier to rent out on the boards at a higher price. If not, David's may be the way to go.
