We have six people travelling in our party, including a one year old. I want to print our boarding passes the night before we leave. Do we still have to use the kiosk or go through the lines? We will have luggage to check...we're staying at a hotel at the airport the night before b/c we have a 6:50am flight. Any suggestions??? I'm really not too sure how the boarding pass printing affects my arrival at the airport.

I have also confirmed my seating assignments and they are still in tact.

We are flying USAirways out of Philadelphia International.

Thank you again!

I just printed(today 7-6) our boarding passes for tomorrow's flight to Orlando. We are flying Continental(Cleveland to MCO) and it was very easy. We also got 1000 FF miles for my wife and I for doing it. I booked it separate on Continental's website so we can each get the bonus FF miles. It only took 2 minutes from start to printing the boarding passes. You can even change your seats to get an exit row(which I did

We are doing carry-on's only, so all we have to do is go right to the security check points, then to our gate.
If you have luggage to check you can still do(boarding passes at home) it. Just use the sky caps and show him your boarding passes that you printed.
I am pretty sure you can do this 24 hours in advance of your flight through US AIR's website. Continental's website allows you to print boarding passes 30 hours before your departure.

My advice is to use the curbside check in for your luggage. Just tell the attendant that you alrady have your boarding passes. He/She will probably ask to see them as well as your photo IDs. You will still have to go through security (of course, you knew that, LOL) to get to the departure gate, but you will avoid the inside lines to check in.

If curbside isn't available, you will probably have to stand in line to check your luggage. Most airlines have employees stationed in the check in area to help with questions. Ask one of them how to check your luggage if you already have boarding passes. In my experience, there are usually special (and almost always SHORTER) lines for that.

I am not specifically familiar with US Air and the Philadelphia airport - it's been several years since I was in Philly. Maybe someone who has more recent experience will reply as well.

Good luck and enjoy the trip!

If you are checking bags you can get your boarding passes at the curb. It would save you a step of printing out your passes ahead of time.

I would still plan to get there early because of backups at the security checkpoint. You will need your boarding pass to get through security.

I posted this info in another thread. Hope it helps.

Philadelphia originating customers without checked baggage will also be able to obtain boarding passes at kiosks on the walkways at Terminals B and C beginning today. The six new kiosks are split equally between the B and C walkways, and are located in front of the security checkpoints on the walkway bridges.
