We are staying at the POLY resort for our 'land' portion of our land and sea vacation. It will be our honeymoon.:teeth: I'd really like a room with a nice view, lagoon view preferably... Is there anyway of requesting what kind of room you stay at? On our confirmation papers it just says standard room. What exactly in a 'standard' room? Does it cost extra for a lagoon view? What about a concierge room, how much extra would that cost... would it be possible to 'upgrade' our room now, even though we are leaving in 16 days and have already paid our balance in full?
THANKS!!

Hi Disneymooner,

A standard room at the Polynesian is a garden view room. I think most standard views have a great view, because the Polynesian is so lush and tropical. A lagoon view is roughly about $50-60 more per night than a standard and concierge is about $100 more than standard view. If you do upgrade to a lagoon view request the Tahiti building. We stayed there last year and had an awesome view of the castle, space mountain and the Contemporary.
Maybe if you put on your reservations that you'll be on your honeymoon they will upgrade you to Lagoon - it's worth a shot! Also, you might want to check out Tikiman's website. We learned a lot from it before heading to the Polynesian last year.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage and good luck!

I have changed my ressies 3 times already. Our dates were not working with our air. Each time I changed the CM was very pleasant and accomadating. However, we only left a deposit and will pay for our room when we arrive.
I suggest you call, it can't hurt. I also agree that you should mention that you'll be on your honeymoon.
Good luck!

I think the rules are different for a land/sea package.

It can't hurt to call and find out, but I don't think you can upgrade. I think that they keep all the cruiseers in the same vicinity for ease of pickup.

You might want to post your question on the cruise board. I think those folks might have more answers than you'll get here.
