Question about Points

My mom and I are thinking about adding on more points to be able to book a two bedroom accommodation WITHOUT borrowing or banking. Currently, we have 100 points at CC. We would like to come down at least twice a years perhaps more. We would always need a two bedroom accommodation because we travel with family. I say we need 600 total which would be an add on of 500. I could always rent out unused points.

What point value do you feel is best?

Lots of info out there on the best value. Assuming you are buying resale, I think SSR and BLT are still best value, but factor in your other variables. Where do you want to stay? Will you book 11 months out or 7? Do you want to have home resort advantage at a different DVC property? You have 100pts copper creek already and you could probably get a resale contract there for a decent price/point if you make an offer. DVC probably won't ROFR CC until the resort is sold out (so maybe you could low ball a little). If you don't want to worry about borrowing and banking and plan to book 11 months out, then another Copper Creek would probably be your best choice.
Just a side note: I think BRV is a good bargain right now if you don't mind the 2042 end date, enjoy staying at WL, and want to save money on your initial purchase price. Also, give thought to keeping the same use year!

That's quite a large increase! I understand why you're looking at the best value. Do you have any resorts you have to stay at? Or are you good staying at any of them? SSR has long been the best value onsite. With the low point standard view option, lower resale prices and low maintenance fees it's the best onsite DVC value. And you would still be able to switch to any of the other 9 current onsite resorts dependent on 7 month availability.
