Question about points that can't be banked

We took a big trip this summer. When planning the trip, we initially booked a resort that required more points. When we switched over to a stay that required less points, the points were put back into our account. I was then told that I couldn't bank them (which unfortunately makes sense) and would have to use them by this September.

The problem is that I don't plan on going back to Disney until NEXT summer.

Wasn't there once a board on Disboards where one could rent points to others? I only have a small amount, but I figure that someone might need them. And if there isn't a board here, is there one somewhere else?
