Question about passes and competitions...

My stepdaughter is attending UCA Nationals at WDW from 3/12 - 3/16. Our family is heading down to support her, and taking a mini-vacation in the process. I am receiving conflicting information about entrance into the competition forum. I was first told that a hopper plus pass would NOT get us into the competition, and we would have to obtain tickets from either UCA or the individual cheer team. Then I heard that the hopper plus pass WOULD get us into the competition. Can anyone clarify this for me? And for those that say I should speak to her mother (the owner of the team), she doesn't want us there, and won't give my husband the info. Thanks!!!

If the competitions are not in a park, then you will need tickets to the competition. If the competitions are in the parks, but, the park is closed to the general public for the competition, then you will need a ticket to the competition. If the competition is in a park and the competition is open to the general public, then a hopper will do the trick. I bet there is someone at Disney that can give you the facts. 407/824-4321

As an aside, the day I would let me child go without me without the information asked for not given, would be the day my child would not go. You are the parent, she has NO right to withhold any information.

On the UCA website it states that the competition is at WDW resort. I'm presuming it's being held at World of Sports, which is why I felt a hopper plus pass would do the trick. As for calling Disney, I did, and they are the ones that gave me the conflicting info. Maybe I'll try again, and go for the 2 out of 3 approach.

It is my understanding that the competitions are held at the Wide World of Sports Complex and at the Indiana Jones Amphitheater in the Disney/MGM Studios. Your PHP will get you into any competitions at the Studios but I'm not sure about admission to Wide World of Sports. I think the Ultimate Park Hoppers include admission to WWofS but I don't know if the pluses on the PHP's do or not. You can also contact UCA directly for more information, at least I think they will be able to tell you... 901-387-4300
