Just wondering if this is possible. I want to book my room using the discount code for July but I want to also book the dining. We are not eligible for any freebies because my kids are 14 and 17 and we have to travel before school starts August 3rd . Can I buy just a one day pass when I need to pay off at the 45 day mark and then upgrade and pay for a 7day PHP when I arrive ?

Yes, just buy the 1 day ticket for everyone in your party, then upgrade at the parks to whatever kind of tickets you want.

Thanks
I thought it could be done.I usually do everything a lacarte, but wanted to do the dining plan this year because we like to eat at the Table Service places.

Caution, be sure that the discount code applies to the particular room and meals plan you are ordering.

Not to take over your thread, but I was going to ask something similar. I know you can add days once you arrive, but here is my situation. My DH and I have 3 days of PH no expiration tickets left. We are planning on buying 2 base tickets when we go in January (with a package to include the dining plan). We have a DS who will be 4 with no tickets at all. When we book, he of course will also have 2 base tickets. When we check in, can we add 3 days with PARK HOPPER to his tickets without getting the park hopper on our tickets? We plan on doing full days in AK and MK so we really don't want/need to spend the $100 for DH and I. Hope I explained this well enough! TIA!

The usual method for upgrading tickets is that you get the most if you use the ticket once. So don't do it at the hotel, but go to a park, then go to guest services and do his upgrade there. And yes you can end up with different tickets.

Sounds like you've thought through the value/relative value of using two sets of tickets for you and your husband already...usually it's NOT recommended to do so b/c the value of the no exp tickets is so high. Usually it's recommended to just upgrade the new ticket to what you need and save the small no exp ticket for a future trip when it's exactly what you need. But since you mentioned not wanting to pay for hopping for you and your husband, and since the no exp tickets already hae it, sounds like you've done the math already.

It's something we are kicking around. We aren't going until January so I am just starting the planning. I was just curious to see if it could be done before I got involved with the math. Thank you for your help!!!
