question about park hopping

when you do this do they have a hand stamp to get in to another park or do you keep using your ticket every time you enter another park? If they do stamp your hand and you do all the parks in one day do you keep getting your hand stamp or do you keep the one from the first place you went. Thanks your your help

You get your hand stapmed once (at the first park as you exit--I think they use the same stamp resort wide each day) and use your ticket for entry into the other parks. I park hopped several times and only once did they actually ask to see the hand stamp.

We hop parks every day, sometimes several times and never once have they checked my hand for a stamp. I always let them stamp me when exiting a park just in case they do check, but as long as you've got a PHP, you shouldn't have a bit of a problem.

The stamps are a back-up. You only need to get one, as iceskatejen posted. They may never check the stamp, but in one of those rare instances that they do (either because your ticket gets flagged or the turnstile computer system goes out) if you do not have a stamp, you will not be admitted.
Ticket every time.
Stamp once a day.
It won't count an extra day- don't worry about things like that please. Put all such thoughts completely out of your brain. They will do you no good, and your energy is best spent on more relevent concerns.

(If I had a nickel for every guest who was concerned that the turnstiles would cause damage to their ticket or that the monorail would stop running halfway through the day- but did not know the name of his/her own HOTEL , I would be a very rich man. Get your horse in front of your cart, people!)

DH and I park-hopped last trip and never had our hands stamped once the whole. But we did have UPH.

You were just lucky they did not ask to see it. anyone leaving one of the parks that plans to reenter that park or another one the same day needs to have the hand stamp and their ticket.
It shows that the same person who used the ticket earlier in the day was is the one using it, or at least that they had been admitted to one of the parks that day already, otherwise someone with one ticket could enter use the ticket leave hand off the ticket new person could reenter the park etc.

PAP and AP holders do not get their hands stamped. They have to prove they are the holder of the ticket by putting their fingers in the biometric scanner.

The ONLY people who don't need handstamps are people with Annual or Seasonal passes. Our rule of thumb was if your ticket has your name and biometrics on it have ID and dont worry about a handstamp otherwise get it just in case. I've usually only checked the handstamp it the ticket gets de-maged or damaged.
BTW, the handstamps aren't the same for each park everyday but they all have the same theme for the day. Like, for instance every parks stamps starts with an A on one day and an I on the next. Also the stamps DO NOT wash off! Take a shower, wash your hands (in fact we encourage both!!) it will be there for at least 48 hours!

Also: SafariSteve you are my new best friend! You must have worked the turnstiles at some point because I swear if I don't think the same thing at least 10 times a day......
