Question about other games

VMK is the first on line game I have ever played. Do other games boot you off after a certian time like VMK does with us? I don't mean for inactivity I am talking about while you are actively playing do you get kicked off?

To me there are two types of dc problems the ones where VMK just isn't working right and then the automatic dc. I think that one is worse than when VMK isn't working. That one is on purpose

out of all the games i play, VMK is the only game that does that during play. and believe me, i play A LOT of online game (bc i like to explore ), but then again, i highly doubt that those games has that many players on at the same exact time, has that kind of graphics, has those kind of features, etc. so, VMK is worth it

I haven't had dc issues with neopets or the game show network, both free sites. That's all I have played - I think. My husband and kids have played a lot more games and haven't had a dc problem.

I wish VMK would allow us to stay on for at least two hours at a time. Maybe they need to dumb down some of their complexity in order to improve performance. I'm willing to make that tradeoff.

I try to keep an eye on the clock and voluntarily refresh when it's time but if VMK won't change the automatic DC then I would love a timer like we get for inactivity so at least we know it's coming. We can finish what we are doing or tell people we are talking to we will be right back.

Well even better why not let us play if we are active.

What I would like to know is if there really is an automatic dc. I know staff has talked about dcs as if there is an automatic dc but if there is, I would think that everyone would get dc at the same interval. Usually automatic timeout things apply to everyone and are a guaranteed event.

If there is an automatic dc, at what level is it set? Given the inconsistent timeouts, I'd guess it would be set on each server but that sounds really lame.
