Let's say I make a room reservation through Orbitz for one of Disney's "onsite" resorts. Can I still make fastpass + reservations at the 60-day mark? Even though I did not book directly with Disney?

Yes, just link your orbitz reservation to my disney experience (it's a six digit alphanumeric code). You get the same benefits as you would if you'd booked directly with disney. Have fun!

Yes. You can link the Orbitz reservation to MDX just like a regular Disney reservation. Use the "hotel confirmation number" that Orbitz provides with their confirmation, not the Orbitz reference number. It's 6 digits and can contain numbers and letters.

When you order magic bands, make sure you change the shipping address to your own, because it will default to the Orbitz corporate address.

Previous answers are 100% correct. Just wanted to add- if you have children, do not include them on your initial booking, because they'll cost extra. Call Orbitz after you book and they will add them for free.

Disregard if there are no kids involved :)

Thanks. I was wondering out the mailing address showed Chicago IL. Fortunately, I noticed that before requesting the magic bands.

Question about adding the children to a reservation made on orbitz -
My DW and I have 3 kids, so I want to book a room for 5. So I just book the appropriate room and then call Orbitz to add the 3 kids to the reservation? It shouldn't be a problem with 3 kids as long as the room category fits up to 5 adults according to the disney website, right? This 15% off is pretty tempting..

Book orbitz for 2 only. Once you have your confirmation, you can call Orbitz and ask them to contact Disney and add 3 children to your room.

A few things:
The room should hold 5 people under a Disney's guidelines (I.e.not a regular value resort).
The 3 children should be under 18 or Disney would consider them adults.
If the person at Orbitz says you need to fix this, gently push back. I have booked several times this way and only once was I told to correct it (you can't contact Disney as Orbitz, not you booked the room).
Your confirmation from Orbitz will give their confirm and the number you can use on MDE to allow fast passes.
Depending when you call, expect this to take 15-30 minutes between reaching someone at Orbitz then being placed on hold while they make the call to Disney.

Good luck! I found the minor inconvenience offset the great price!!!
