Family of 4. 18 year old son who eats like a horse and a 15 year old girl who is obsessed with her figure. My daughter is willing to go to the buffets and sit and visit while we eat and later she can get something much less expensive elsewhere. I hate to spend over $20.00 so she can nibble away at a muffin!! Do restaurants that do buffets allow for non-diners at the table?

There is a $5.00 fee for non-diners at some of the buffets... I don't know if all of them have this fee, but I think the character meals for sure. You'd probably need to ask the Dining line Cms, or ask at the restaurant directly.

Even with a $5.00 fee, it's still cheaper than paying full price for someone who doesn't eat the food. :flower:

we just came back from wdw and we went to chef mickeys for dinner one night my oldest 15 was not feeling very well and didnt eat, the waiteress ask why she wasnt eating and dd told her that she was not feeling well, when we received the bill the waiteress put on the bill 4 adult buffets 1 child buffet 1 non eater and there was no extra charge for the non eater.

Don't count on it.

Even at character meals, the "entertainment" charge is hit or miss. Sometimes it seems to be allowed, sometimes not. Some character meals its never been an option at. Some DISers have thought the entertainment charge was preconfirmed only to be charged full price when they arrive.

Sometimes a waiter will take pity on the non-eater - particularly if the excuse is "not feeling well." But the policy is everyone pays.

My guess is that you'll pay more often than not.

When we went to Crystal Palace for breakfast last year, my DH didn't eat (doesn't like breakfast) and just sat with us at the table. We weren't charged anything for him.

is anyone else in your family not a big eater? they could go on a ride or something with your daughter while the rest of the family was at the buffett, and then pick something small up later.

Please don't be offended but if all she does is nibble on a muffin at meals I would be quite concerned about her health, if you know what I mean. What about the healthier choices, all of the buffets have low fat, low calorie choices, such as a salad, etc..
