The last day of our trip is Dec. 6th and the Nemo ride in Epcot is set to open Dec.10th. What are our chances of riding this? Would they have a soft opening or open it for a couple hours a day before the 10th? Has anyone been to Disney right before a ride was supposed to open (Everest, etc..) and got to "try it out"? Thanks! :thumbsup2

Nobody knows.

Sometimes there is a soft-open as was the case with EE a few months before it was sched. to open.

Sometimes there is a soft-open as was the case with PotC the week before it was sched. to open.

Sometimes the attraction simply opens as published.

Sometimes the attraction misses its open date (Test Track missed its proposed open date by approaching 2 YEARS.)

We were there this past Feb. and were able to ride EE due to a soft opening. I beleive it was scheduled to offically open in April. So you never know! I wish you luck!!!!! pixiedust:

I will keep my fingers, toes, ears, anything I can cross!! We are there the 1-7, just missing it. Initally, we were scheduled to be there later, then I would've made the opening.

There's always next trip, though... remember! :goodvibes

Where did you hear Dec. 10? Just curious because on another board people were saying it is set to open in Oct.

It only says 12/10 on disinfo.com. I don't believe that is when it will open because it said it would open in november in a magazine i read. also is says projected dates. I also have found that the nemo musical opening date is 11/12, not 12/30.

I have seen 12/10 in several places.

Does anyone know if there will be a fast pass for this?

Backstage Pass and Mickey Monitor say Nemo ride in October

After all the hoopla over the Disney Visa card holder newsletter telling us that the Nemo ride would open in November (admittedly, we were skeptical, because that seemed since late they hired the operational CM's last week) it's been noted that the Backstage Pass portion of Disney's website and the Mickey Monitor newsletter sent out to annual passholders refer to an October opening.

When will it open? We wish we knew. November seems a safe bet that it will be operating by, but the grand opening date is still elusive. Luckily, pass holder previews are planned though and will be announced in the future.

If you scroll down you will see this:

The Tarzan Rocks show has ended and the Theatre in the Wild has closed. ."Finding Nemo - The Musical" is replacing "Tarzan Rocks." According to the audition information page for the new Finding Nemo Musical, the show will open officially on November 12, 2006. Previews start on November 5th. Work is progressing at the Theater in the Wild at a very visible pace. Over the last week or so, the structure of the new theater has really started to take shape. While the structure is visibly changing, it is still fairly indistinguishable as to what form it is taking as it is still all steel support work. The ground construction that had been progressing seems to have slowed down if not halted for the time being.

From Allearsnet.com-http://allearsnet.com/pl/events.htm
The Seas with Nemo and Friends opens in the Living Seas October 2006. Clamobiles will take you through a colorful reef where you'll see all your favorites from Finding Nemo!

Also from Allearsnet.com:Same URL-

Finding Nemo -- comes to life in an all-new musical stage show debuting at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in late 2006 (some sources indicate November 12 as the start date) in the newly reconstructed Theatre in the Wild (former home of Tarzan Rocks!).

Above poster: Where have you seen 12/10 besides disinfo?

:wizard: Cool, maybe it will be open when we go or maybe we can get in on a passholder preview. :wizard:

I was in the Living Seas last week and was told by a CM there that November would be really busy for them as the new ride would be opening.

More proof! I hope it is open by November 24th!

It looks like I was mixing up the show (AK) and the ride (Epcot) I think the ride is mid-fall and the show is late 2006- (December)

I read 12/10 also, but I am hoping against all hope that they end up opening early or have a soft opening....because we're there 11/25 thru 12/5, and I have a 4 y/o DD who would absolutely ADORE this ride!
