Question About My Turtle pic included UPDATE!!

I have a Painted water turtle. He has these little bumps all over his shell. At first we thought his shell was just peeling like it always does, but this is the third day it's been like this. I've never seen him like this before. I'm worried. Does anyone know what this could be? Is it fine and I'm just over reacting? Here's a pic, I'm pretty sure that big brown thing is a piece of food. TIA!!!

UPDATE!! False alarm, it was just food. We cleaned out his container and we put him in the sink when we do, and it all came off. He moved around his pebbles so much, the water didn't cover him, so it stayed there. I am so relieved it was just food! So, thanks everyone, for letting me know my pic wasn't working, and for the concern. And thanks for offering to post it for me!!!!!

I'm trying again. I'm worried, but I'm hoping that I'm just over reacting. Hopefully we'll clean his water tomorrow, and maybe that will help.
