Question about my tickets....

I bought out tix from Ticket Mania several months ago. They came in the mail shortly thereafter. This is our first time to go to WDW so I had never seen the tickets. I got 4 day hoppers.

Here is my question. I have a friend who goes quite often and was asking her about where she kept her tickets on her person while in the park (Purse, backpack..etc.). One thing led to another, and this is where my question comes in. She described the feel of an actual credit card, but *my* tickets are just a thicker paper, slick, with pictures of goofy and donald and such on the front, the swiper stripe on the back and the description of adult or child and the price along with the fine print on the back.

PLEASE assure me that there is nothing to worry about here...paranoia has a way of taking over, ya know....

TIA for any confidence you can give me.

p.s. My Tix for the MNSHP do have the feel of a credit card; maybe that is why I am concerned....

Im not sure 100 % but i think your ok I ahven't been to WDW in Yrs going next week But I know that disneyland uses paper tickets but to put your fears at ease.call DW and double check yourself!!

The hoppers (and APs I think) are paper as you described. If you have a UPH (which is also your room key) they are thicker plastic credit card type cards.

Tickets purchased at the Disney Stores are also credit-card style. However, any you purchase through mail order (from Disney or other mail order outlets) or from AAA or other discounters will be the paper type.

From what I understand, the paper type tickets actually hold up better than credit card type - they go through the turnstiles more times before being unreadable (hence the paper stock for APs). I do know I sent my paper AP through the wash and while it came out a little worse for wear and I traded it for a new one, it probably would have still been readable in the turnstiles.

Mur!

I just got my tickets from Ticketmania and they are also the same thick cardboard you describe.

These are the same style tickets I got through my military recreation office for our last trip and they worked fine then.

I take a thin credit-card wallet on our trips and put our tickets in it. Then put the wallet in a fanny pack. I hate fanny packs, but they sure are great for amusement parks!
