I am going to WDW for 8 days in Jan. and I wanted to go ahead and buy 10 days worth of tickets because it only costs like 16 more dollars. If I make the tickets 10 day hoppers and I add non-exp. on them now it costs an extra $200ish. My question is: On the 8th day of my trip, can I add no-exp. to the 2 remaining days on the ticket and only pay to add it to 2 days? Can I do this at MK...
Sorry if this is a stupid question...I'm a vacation planning newbie ::MickeyMo

The non-expiry fee would be applied to the full duration of the ticket.

No, unfortunately the no expiration option price depends on the original length of tickets you purchased, not the number of days left :guilty: .

Yes you can add no exp as long as you are within the 14 days, but like everyone said, the cost is on the full 10day rate though

If you are going to use 8 (or 9 or 10) theme park days all in one sitting, you are usually better off with an expiring pass.

Although the cost of non-expiration depends on the number of days originally on the pass, you still need to think in terms of days remaining. Over and above an 8 day expiring pass, two more days and non-expiration cost $115. more, or $57. per day for your next trip. Unless some future vacation is just 2 or 3 days you might not come out ahead. If there were some plusses left over from the water parks fun option, the math would tilt more in favor of going for the non-expiring 10 day pass.

As a generality, non-expiration makes sense only when you can do some future vacation completely using leftovers.

If you did buy the water park fun and spent one of your 8 days only at Disney Quest and/or water parks, you would have 3 days instead of 2 (and perhaps some plusses also) left over and non-expiration may be more appealing.
